Permira and Blackstone-led consortium completed the acquisition of Adevinta for €13.6bn. (FS)

Consortium led by private equity firms Permira and Blackstone , completed the acquisition of Adevinta , a European online classifieds company, for €13.6bn ($14.8bn).

"We believe our offer provides attractive value and certainty for shareholders, whilst helping Adevinta take advantage of its long-term growth opportunities in a rapidly changing landscape. Access to flexible capital in a private context will ensure Adevinta remains competitive in this environment. We believe we can drive forward Adevinta’s strategy in the interest of the company and its stakeholders," Lionel Assant, Blackstone Head of European Private Equity.

A group of investors led a $6bn Series B round in xAI. (FS)

Valor Equity Partners , Vy Capital , Andreessen Horowitz , Sequoia Capital , Fidelity Investments , Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal and Kingdom Holding led a $6bn Series B round in xAI , an American startup company working in the area of artificial intelligence.

xAI will continue on this steep trajectory of progress over the coming months, with multiple exciting technology updates and products soon to be announced. The funds from the round will be used to take xAI’s first products to market, build advanced infrastructure, and accelerate the research and development of future technologies.

Brookfield and Temasek to acquire a 53.32% stake in Neoen from Impala, the Fonds Stratégique de Participations, Cartusia and Xavier Barbaro for €3.25bn. (FS)

Brookfield Asset Management , a Canadian multinational company, and Temasek , a global investment company, agreed to acquire a 53.32% stake in Neoen , a renewable energy producer, from Impala, the Fonds Stratégique de Participations, Cartusia and Xavier Barbaro for €3.25bn ($3.52bn).

“Impala is delighted to sell the control of Neoen to Brookfield, a responsible actor and world leader in the renewable energy market . Impala created Neoen 15 years ago and have since then supported every stage of its development in France and then internationally, with an outstanding success in Australia. With the financial backing of this new shareholder and the talent of Xavier Barbaro and his teams, Neoen will be able to continue its growth trajectory,” Jacques Veyrat, Impala Founder and President.

PAG said?mulling?buying?of?Wanda's $14bn mall portfolio.?

Private equity firm PAG is considering buying 万达集团 's shopping mall properties.?

PAG could raise a fund and bring in other investors for a transaction that may value the real estate assets at as much as $14bn.

A deal would make PAG the owner of properties?that it?manages, following an agreement?in March?when it acquired control of?Zhuhai Wanda Commercial Management Group, the unit that?runs the day-to-day operations of the malls. Meanwhile, by disposing of the real estate assets, Wanda could raise cash to pay down debt and reduce leverage,?Bloomberg ?reported.

EQT is said to explore $8bn plus options for Reworld. (FS)

EQT Group is exploring strategic options?including?a minority stake sale for Reworld Waste that could value the waste management company at more than $8bn?including?debt.

The Stockholm-based firm owns Reworld - known as Covanta until last month - through its infrastructure arm. EQT is working with advisers and is in the early stages of soliciting interest from potential suitors.?No final decisions have been reached?and?EQT could decide against pursuing a transaction, Bloomberg reported.
