Picture this, if you will (and it's easy with that retro picture up top). The year is 1989, a time when the concept of the internet was as far-fetched as a sci-fi novel, cell phones were a pipe dream, and computers were the size of whole rooms. This was the era when I took the plunge and launched my kitchen dealership - a venture lovingly christened Total Kitchen Inc. (TKI for short).?
Now, you might be thinking, "Without all the tech wizardry we have today, how could one possibly scale a business?" Yet, with ingenuity, drive, and probably a little too much coffee, I turned TKI into a force to be reckoned with.?
Our yearly revenue soared, multiplying 47 times beyond the industry standard - which, let's not be coy, translates into a cool $75 million in today's terms.?
And just to put a cherry on top of this tale of yesteryears, I cruised around town in a slick Mercedes, adding just the right amount of flair to an already adventurous entrepreneurial ride.
Fast forward to today.
My journey has been marked by every technological innovation you could imagine, witnessing their transformative impact on the Kitchen and Bath industry.?
I've had the privilege of working with industry stalwarts such as, allmilm? U.S.A., Dream Maker Bath & Kitchen, Pedini, Medallion, Merillat (a Masco Company), and a myriad of others.?
This extensive and diverse experience has led to a profound realization - the most successful companies have something timeless about them. This timeless quality revolves around one crucial aspect - a well-crafted company image.

The Secret to Success
In the dynamic narrative of the kitchen and bath industry, the mirror of public perception can often be the defining factor in a company's journey. The image a company projects within this industry landscape is crucial - it's not merely a reflection, but a defining portrait that can shape its future. This company image, this radiant reflection, is an invaluable asset.?
It's the lens through which customers, industry professionals, and competitors gauge the company. Like a mirror, it can magnify the virtues of a company, or expose its weaknesses.
This portrayal is particularly crucial in the kitchen and bath industry, where the trust of clients and the respect of competitors can directly impact a company's bottom line.?
A compelling company image is therefore more than just a facade; it's a strategic tool that can drive sales, bolster client loyalty, and establish a company as an industry leader.
Image Craftsmanship: A Strategic Tool for Success
Just as a master craftsman shapes a piece of raw material into a thing of beauty, so too must kitchen and bath professionals craft their company's image. It's a meticulous process, where every detail counts.?
From the design of your products to the professionalism of your installers, from your communication with clients to your resolution of issues - every aspect of your operations contributes to the final image that you project.
A compelling company image in this industry conveys not just superior design and quality but also exceptional service and a commitment to customer satisfaction. As kitchen and bath professionals, you understand the importance of functional design and aesthetic appeal in your work. It's the same when it comes to your company's image.?
A well-crafted image should effectively communicate your company's values, mission, and unique selling proposition, reflecting your commitment to meeting - and exceeding - customer expectations.
Polishing the Mirror: Maintaining Your Company Image
Just as mirrors need regular polishing to maintain their brilliance, so too must a company's image be consistently maintained and enhanced. It involves actively seeking feedback from clients, keeping abreast of industry trends, and continually striving for excellence.
