Mercedes-Benz USA National Dealer Technical Days 2023

Mercedes-Benz USA is dedicated to the strongest relationship with our dealer partners!

This year, the Mercedes-Benz USA Engineering Services team played host to four regional National Dealer Technical Days (NDTD) events for our dealer Shop Foreman, Centralized Diagnostic Technicians, and workshop leaders. During each of our two-day NDTD events, our dealer attendees engaged in theoretical and hands-on training in the areas of Milliohm meter diagnosis with Hioki, Vehicle networking, Noise/Vibration Harshness (NVH) diagnosis, and XENTRY Scope. The event also included: business strategy sessions hosted by the Engineering Services Management Team of Martin Larsson, Jordan Camarena, and Juergen Pietsch; Technical Training business updates from our Mercedes-Benz Academy Team lead by Shad Barr; guest speakers from Mercedes-Benz AG; and our dealer representative Technical Advisory Board (TAB) members.

One element of success in these events is direct communication between the Engineering Services team and our dealers. We are committed to networking, share knowledge, create new channels of communication, and provide our dealers workshop leaders with the resources to deliver the best vehicle repair experience with the customer as our focus. The Mercedes-Benz USA NDTD events strive to lead innovation beyond technical training.? We set ourselves apart from traditional OEM Foreperson meetings by combining hands on technical training with interaction from many of the MBUSA departments that workshop leaders leverage to get vehicles back to there owners efficiently.?

The NDTD events go beyond MBUSA presenting to dealers, we also have our TAB dealer members who receive focused feedback and present to their dealer peers.? TAB provides a unique path to identify and resolve technical or procedural challenges that our dealer workshops face.? This board goes beyond feeding MBUSA with this information, they actively work with Engineering Services and MB Academy to create many process improvements.
