The Merc cor is known to modulate the α-amylase (starch digesting enzyme) interaction in starch. In this study Merc cor in various potencies (including tincture, 30, 200, 1000 cH) were subjected to see the interaction between α-amylase and its ligands in presence of different potencies (dissolved in water to see the reaction in terms of heat absorption or release).?

Merc cor produced higher heat changes during interactions with α-amylase when compared to water and ethanol control.
