Menu Innovator? Silver Medal Winner - Al's Place
Chef Aaron London, a native Californian, is known for his expansive palate and unique management style that never ceases to enliven his patrons’ dining experience. Chef Daniel Evers, also a Bay area Californian, has the advantage of a fine-dining background that brings an unshakable adherence to high standards and vital organizational skill.
Most meals at Al’s Place are light, like the Yellow Eye Bean Stew with Torn Bread, while others are more hearty, like the limited availability Trouty Brioche with Creamy Cheese, Pickled Green Peach, and Limey Trout Roe. Both Chef London and Chef Evers are alumni of Michelin-starred restaurants and are concerned with clean, well-balanced, flavor-rich meals that showcase Northern California’s produce and the seasonal offerings of the west coast. Located in the Mission District of beautiful San Francisco, the no-dress-code restaurant is bright and airy, and where the more sultry dining places boast their exceptional wine pairings, Al’s Place is made unique by offering music pairings – and a Music Director to keep it appropriate and interesting.
