8 个月Mentorship has been indispensable in my development and in my mission to pay it forward. I spoke to a college conference about working in politics and government on this very topic. If there’s a mistake I made, or hard lesson learned, I am more than happy to pass lessons along lest others commit the same error. Confident leaders foster talent because they realize that building the next generation of talent lifts everyone. In sports we call this a “coaching tree”. How many coaches who served under you went on to do great — or even greater things? That is your legacy. The best legacy you can leave behind is a new generation of amazing talent. And if their accolades exceed my own — awesome. I’m happy for them and happy that I could make an impact in their career trajectory.
