Mentoring Product Managers

I wish someone had encouraged me to find a mentor when I was younger. What a difference a good mentor can make both in your career and life.

Mentoring isn't a new thing. It could date back as far as ancient Greece, perhaps even further than that.

I've been involved in several mentoring programs and even run one myself for a while.

My first piece of advice would be to get yourself a mentor before mentoring others. It will help you learn about different approaches and help get your own house in better order first too.

Being a mentor can help change someone's life but with great power comes great responsibility!
