Mentoring, myth busting & early morning meetings

It's been a minute.

After a week in sunny Malaga, and sadly not moving there permanently (sorry about the April 1st jokes), it's been a busy one getting back in the swivel chair and the chaos of customer personas, key messages, missions and USPs...

Being accountable to your plans

I now have an ever growing collective of mentoring clients who spend an hour at a time with me to keep their grand plans on track, explore non-vanilla ideas and make new connections with people that make sh*t happen. So lots of my time this week has been spent on that jazz, which is fortunate because I love it, and because I can see the 4k version of events, I'm able to add a load of value by challenging assumptions and helping people to explore new ways of looking at their stuff.

If you think something like this would help you with momentum and clarity, let's talk.

Busting myths

I talk about one of my retained clients a fair bit, largely because they do quite remarkable things - that's social enterprise Invisible Cities ; they train people who have experienced homelessness to be tour guides of their own cities. I'm helping them to grow their brand reach and one of the ideas I'm exploring is how we bust the balls of some of the myths flying about around homelessness - especially with the recent and pretty unhelpful headlines about arresting people because they smell... But on a positive and serious note, opening up the conversation about the complexities of homelessness and how people can help is immense and I feel proud to be a part of that conversation.

On Wednesday morning I was up with the worms and ready at my desk for an early morning personal brand webinar. This was the first time I'd run one of these sessions online - the turn out was great as were the questions attendees asked about aligning personal brand with goals. You can see a behind the scenes glimpse here on TikTok....

So as the Easter holidays draw to a close, I hope you've had a break even if just the long weekend, I hope you've survived the juggle if Easter means having small people under your feet - and I'll leave you with this...
