Mentoring Beyond Matchmaking: Bringing Scientific Measurement to the Game
“It’s about giving free education and equal access to Indonesians, regardless of anything.”
Sharing the same values, Mentor Inc. welcomed a new member to the family, RR Ria Dwi Agustina or Rere, a PhD candidate in social and transcultural psychiatry at McGill University. People often say, “What’s meant for you, will find you” and that is how Mentor Inc. feels about finding Rere and how her presence could fill the void in the company.?
The same thing for Rere, with her passion for people and her dream of developing the young generation for their future, we surely are a match. Apart from consultancies, assessments, training, and human resources, one particular experience that led her to Mentor Inc. is her mentoring experience at Indonesia Mengglobal where she helped young Indonesians to pursue a global education. This experience has helped her unlock a new passion in mentoring and at-long-last find her way to Mentor Inc.?
For almost half a year, Mentor Inc. has been providing access to institutions and individuals? to help accelerate their developments through mentoring, and with Rere, whose background covers a lot of data and research, we are strengthening our scientific approach to our programme. With further emphasis on delivering a corporate solution, we are building tools to measure the impact of mentoring and provide insightful data to support corporate strategies.?
The process of mentoring in Mentor Inc. is beyond the matchmaking of a mentor and a mentee. At Rere’s hand, we will be monitoring and evaluating the post-mentoring progress from each mentoring session. In addition to measuring the technicalities, we will also be measuring the self-development of the mentee and the mentor. The obtained data will help to strengthen the quality of the programme and further assist in shaping impactful mentoring sessions.? The goals are to provide meaningful insights from the sessions and to help shape the people development strategy—making Rere’s presence fundamental in Mentor Inc.?
Through the time zone differences and her PhD completion, she still manages to help herself find a way to something she values and help you find yours. Hence, please welcome Rere, our newest family member, and let’s hop on this new mentoring journey together.?
