Mental Torture
Radhika was a sweet girl. She used to work in my previous organization. She was a hardworking and very helpful colleague. Suddenly due to some emergency she had to borrow 2 Lakh rupees from her team mate Jessy. Radhika’s life changed from that day onwards she was striving for her daily needs and was not able to pay back Jessy on time. Jessy was from a well settled family and she knew Radhika’s plight completely. However, Jessy never missed an opportunity to humiliate Radhika in front of others.
Radhika was going through torment phase. She was not able to deal with the mental torture by Jessy. At the same time Jessy was aware Radhika will repay her, however for her mental content she used to be happy by humiliating Radhika.
What will you do if you are Radhika? / What should Radhika do?
Mental torture is the worst game. We want to be strong and mentally stable, however our surrounding engages us in a game called “Victim Mentality”. This game will shatter us from inside, we may feel choked. We can win this game by following methods:
1. Stop being the Victim and enjoy the game
2. If it is something that you can correct, do it now.
3. Stop overthinking and stop making the situation worsen within you.
4. Believe that you are strong enough to face this.
5. Believe and tell yourself that the problem is temporary and this will pass.
6. Don’t allow the other person to control you or your thoughts
Our intentions should be clear to repay the amount, focus on it. Sitting and crying won’t solve our challenges. Unless you get up and get going, you will immerse yourself in deep mud day by day.
