Mental Strength and Success
Without mental strength, challenges can fill you with self-doubt. Those feelings can lead to negative thinking. This will affect your behavior, which can turn into a self-fulfilling prophecy. Staying strong during hardship requires you to manage your thoughts, feelings, and behavior.
First is acceptance. This doesn't mean agreement, it's about acknowledging what is happening from a realistic standpoint. While you do not agree with things, you can accept that they happen. Accepting what is happening right now is the first step in deciding how to respond. Accepting reality is about recognizing what's within your control. When you can't control the situation, focus on controlling yourself.
Accepting reality helps you manage your behaviors, which helps you manage your thoughts and emotions. The choices you make when you're faced with problems determine how quickly you'll find a solution. Even when you're faced with a problem you can't solve, you make choices about how to respond.
Your mind can be your best asset or your biggest enemy. If you believe your negative thoughts, they can help or prevent you from reaching your greatest potential. Remember that just because you think something, doesn't make it true.
One of the easiest ways to overcome your thoughts is by doing something. Physical activity many times will keep your mind in check.
Another thing to consider is that when you think you’re maxed out, you’re probably only at 40%. You have more in you. Remember that. You brain has an auto kick in to preserve itself and it’s very conservative.
If you accept it, keep moving and manage your thoughts, you can get through anything. That’s where success comes from.
My pleasure.
