Nowadays, technology is everywhere. We are connected with information, notifications, messages, etc., on everything from our cellphones to our laptops which is the leading cause of our anxiety, tension, depression, and sadness. Social media has created a society of comparison and unreasonable demands, which harms our mental health.

Technology has disturbed our sleep cycles, which are essential for sustaining mental wellness. Our internal clocks have been shattered by the blue light emitted from the screens, making it hard to sleep. We feel exhausted and are less able to manage stress and challenges.

Self-Care should be prioritized in this digital era:

Self-care must come firsts to maintain good mental health in this modern world. It’s also essential to care when using social media. This can be done by reducing time limits on the use of social media and unfollowing or muting accounts that make us feel stressed and depressed. Instead, concentrate on following those accounts that will make our lives happier and bring more positivity.
