1 in every 8 people in the world live with a mental disorder.
Depression, PTSD, anxiety, eating disorders, schizophrenia, ADHD, bipolar, and more. Imagine being labeled with something that will affect you for the rest of your life.
Families deny the diagnosis, avoid talking about it, and treat you differently than who you were before. Society makes you feel like you are less, judged, and not capable.
Andy Dunn , founder of Bonobos shared his story breaking the stigma around mental health and inspiring others. Please do yourself a favor and read his book Burn Rate.
It is one of the best books I have ever read and it helps you understand the journey and experience of someone with bipolar.
People recently diagnosed with bipolar struggle to take their prescribed medication.
It's not because we are idiots. It's because we'd rather roll the dice and be ourselves and be ourselves than be someone we don't know. - Andy Dunn
