Why European Fashion?

Have you ever asked yourself, where do those European men get that fantastic sense of style even in cold winter? It is all about good mix and match, understanding fabrics, becoming wise about what to wear investing in all seasons.

Ok, let’s do it step by step. These are the trends in European winter fashion that you and I can adopt;

Learn about Layering

Layering is an art that incorporates some functionality and at the same time beauty. It begins with a good foundation layer, for instance, thermal shirts or Merino wool tops; these are light in weight, well-ventilated, and perfect insulators that do not cause compression.

The mid-layer insulates and personalizes, accompanied by knitted sweaters or flannel shirts depending on the season. Fashionable garments include textured sweaters including cable knits that are comfortable when worn and fashionable.

Last but not least, the final layer is the one that you can make uniquely yours and make it pop. A Navy or camel overcoat that is perfectly tailored out of wool can be recommended for virtually any occasion while a pea coat of the same color will also fit most standard situations.

Neutral color outfits

Often Europeans do not use bright colors in their outfits during winter, preferring to keep it neutral. Remember the four horse colors black, grey, navy and camel. These colors are somewhat basic and combinations of these colors can easily be made.

However, do not let the excitement for interiors be lost on you — feel free to include a dash of colors. Perhaps, a burgundy scarf or green beanie? It can do the trick and even add spectacular to a plain shirt and trousers.

Invest in Quality Footwear

Let’s talk shoes. Winter in Europe is very unpredictable and therefore you need a good pair of boots in winter. Esquires are boots like Chelsea boots, brogues as well as combat boots.

In my case, I would suggest that one goes for a leather or suede variety as they are long-lasting, stylish and they regulate temperature well, being both warm in winter and waterproof.

Pro Tip: Waterproof your shoes. I’m going to buy myself a leather conditioner and waterproof spray which should be applied every few weeks and it will make most of my boots last longer.

Accessorize Smartly

Accessorizing your winter style is very exciting. And it would not be far-fetched to talk about cashmere scarves, warm woolen hats, leather gloves, or even stylish umbrellas. Oh, I assure you that putting on several accessories that are appropriate can change quite a lot.

Don’t Forget About Socks! Yes, socks! A good wool pair of socks will ensure that the feet are toasty but you won’t over sweat. You don’t have to go for a dull color like black or gray. I use the socks to bring in some personality going for patterned or colored ones.

Choose Fabrics Wisely

This fabric is a key component mostly in winter apparel. For the moment, one has to stop at natural fibers like wool, cashmere, and cotton. These fabrics provide you with a kind of warmth that doesn’t necessarily give you a feeling that you are covered with a comforter.

I came to know the fact that in some cases synthetic fabrics are capable of retaining moisture and making you feel cooler. Thus, always make sure you read the label before buying.

Don’t Let Your Hair Go Out of Fashion with Modern Hair Cuts

Winter style does not necessarily equate to boring and overweight clothes. It is preferred by the masses to have modern haircuts and wear clothes that fit well. Narrow-legged pants, fitted suits, and tight-knit wear give a neater appearance and give the impression of a smart dress code.

But please do not forget that this is all about comfort so you should not feel restricted in your movements or have to constantly feel cold because of the look you chose.
