Men's Health Awareness Month

Men's Health Awareness Month

Let's create positive change for 'Men's Health Awareness Month' this November by raising awareness and educating men and the wider audience through take-overs such as charity initiatives like 'Movember'.

Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends face a health crisis that isn’t being talked about. Men are dying too young and we can’t afford to stay silent.

The charity Movember work tirelessly to tackle men’s health on a global scale, addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

In 13 years, Movember has funded more than 1,200 men’s health projects around the world, and by 2030 they’ll reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%.

Movember highlights three key focus areas to have an everlasting impact on men’s health, working year-round with global men’s health partners and academic and clinical institutions to ensure their programmes accelerate improvements to some of the biggest health issues faced by men. In particular, focusing on:

  • Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men in the UK.

  • Testicular Cancer

Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 25-49.

  • Poor Mental Health

On average, 13 men each day take their life by suicide in the UK.
