Fathers Eve? is all about Celebrating Dads EVERYWHERE. Fathers Eve? is always held the night before Father’s Day in the United States (and beyond). It’s an opportunity for fathers, step-fathers, fathers to-be, and any father figures out there to get together and celebrate the Brotherhood of Fatherhood.

Events are held around the United States (and the world) and there is a key digital component, as well, to keep us all “connected” for this event regardless of if we can be there in-person or not. Men As Christ will be hosting an event from 7:00 – 9:30 PM US EDT on June 19th of 2021 at our Grace Amazing property located at 5733 S. Manitou Boulevard in Glen Arbor, Michigan (49636) – just west of Traverse City in beautiful Northern “Pure” Michigan. If you can join us in MI in-person, we’ll have food, water, games, music, etc. – please feel free to bring your own drinks as this will be a very casual event. We’ll finish the evening with a stroll down to the end of the block to watch the sunset from the beach on Lake Michigan!

It’s Trending:

Fatherhood in America and around the world is changing. Today, fathers who live with their children are taking a more active role in caring for them and helping out around the house, and the ranks of single fathers have grown significantly in recent decades.

The Founder:

John Francis is the founder of Fathers Eve?. In 2012, John wanted to show off his new garage to some male friends, all who happened to be dads, so he threw a party that happened to take place the night prior to Fathers Eve?. They had so much fun they did it again the next year and called it Fathers Eve?. Within a few short years, it has become a meaningful “Dads Night Out” event in over many, many cities! Today, Fathers Eve? is a growing celebration that provides an opportunity for dads to learn from other dads and meet new people. “The greatest part of the event is connecting guys that didn’t know each other before but left the event as friends,” said John.

Giving Back:

Fathers Eve? is an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for good causes. Since its launch in 2012, Fathers Eve? gatherings have raised tens of thousands of dollars for fathering and children’s organizations. While a charity component is strongly encouraged, it’s not required to host a Fathers Eve? event. Any funds raised must go to a charity of your choice or our recommended non-profit partners. 2021’s charitable partner is CHILDREN’S Miracle Network.

The Mission:

This night is an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of fatherhood and raise funds for non-profit agencies that support dads. In the last four years Fathers Eve? raised over $35,000! The money goes for a GREAT cause, helping at-home dads, single dads, and other dads needing support and advocacy. The dads that attend have a chance to relax, share fatherhood stories, learn from each other and just have a great time. We celebrate with a toast “To the Dads” at 8:00 PM local time.

The Values:

Dads often don’t realize how important they are. Studies show that children with involved fathers are less likely to have behavior issues and more likely to do better in school and become successful adults. We know that dads are taking a more active role in today’s modern family. The time they spend with their families has tripled since the 1960s and they are a part of everyday family duties: prepping meals, folding laundry, chauffeuring kids to and from activities, and taking paternity leave from their jobs to care for their newborns. Many are doing it as single dads.

It’s important to celebrate fatherhood and provide a support system to other dads in our community. While mom groups have existed for some time, organized support systems for dads are still relatively new, but gaining momentum. More and more dad blogs and conferences are popping up all over the country, and Fathers Eve? is another way dads can come together to celebrate how important they are in their children’s lives.
