The largest healthcare strike in US history is now underway. Some 75,000 unionized Kaiser Permanente workers walked off their jobs this week, demanding a minimum wage of $25 per hour and better staffings.

These are the countries with the highest and lowest minimum wages. France offers one of the highest real minimum wages—which considers inflation—? at $13.80 per hour, while Malta has the lowest nationally mandated pay for workers, with a guaranteed minimum wage of just $1.50 per hour (all currencies were converted to US dollars).
