Matty Mullins, the lead singer from the metal band Memphis May Fire is currently ending their tour with Atreyu, and Ice9Kills. Bands recently performed in Tampa, Fl on November 17th, 2018 at the Ritz in Ybor City. As a special treat to the fans, Memphis May Fire allowed selected fans to participate in an exclusive VIP Meet & Greet package that included a Q & A session with the band, photo, and some merchandise.
Matty Mullins elaborated on the importance of dreams and courage. “To never let anyone sway you from your dreams.” Matty Mullins including band members continued the Q&A session with personal heartfelt stories on their rise to success. “Nothing was handed to us. We had to work for everything we have, and we can not thank our amazing fans for years of support” he said. He also gave advice to the upcoming artist and really anyone who was currently chasing a dream or goal to not let negative energy or social media discourage you.
“The internet can be filled with negative energy, there will always be someone discouraging or judging you. Sometimes just step away from the internet or social media, and focus on yourself, and happiness. Out of sight out of mind is really the goal you can't worry about something you never see.”-Matty Mullins Matty even responded to the criticism about their latest album “Broken”.
“For example when we created the new album Broken, we wanted to give a more melodic feel try something new. If we would have created another album like “The Hollow”, then people would have complained about just creating another Hollow. In short, take risks and do what you love and be happy.” -Matty Mullins
In conclusion, the band proceeded to give a head-banging passionate performance. Followed by the other two bands on tour Atreyu and Ice 9 Kills.
