Memory loss and subjective cognitive decline
Cognitive impairment in older adults has a variety of possible causes, including medication side effects, metabolic and/or endocrine derangements, delirium due to intercurrent illness, depression, and dementia, with Alzheimer’s dementia being most common
The prevalence of SCD among adults aged 45 years and older is ~ 10%.
Lower prevalence of SCD is reported in adults with more years of formal education and social skills
.Subjective Cognitive Decline-related Difficulties
SCD can impact people’s lives in ways that extend beyond thinking and remembering. It may interfere with a person’s ability to engage in activities they typically perform, like chores, socializing, taking medications, or working outside the home. An SCD-related functional difficulty is defined as always, usually, or sometimes giving up day-to-day household activities or chores and/or experiencing interference in engaging in activities outside the home.
Mental distress includes stress, depression and problems with emotions. Frequent mental distress (FMD) is defined as experiencing mental distress or having mentally unhealthy days for at least 14 days in a 30 day period.

Aluminum adjuvants in multiple vaccinations
Most patients are women (70–80%) that typically complain of myalgias, with or without arthralgia, and disabling chronic fatigue. The onset of these symptoms is typically delayed from the immunization.

What we can do for family and friends
1. Look up drug-induced nutrient depletions and replete with supplements and nutrition.
ANXIETY MEDICATION (Benzodiapezines): Ativan?, Prosom?, Restoril?Valium?, Xanax? and others deplete calcium and Vitamin D.
ANTIBIOTICS: Amoxil?, Bactrim?, Ceclor?, Cipro?, Levaquin? Antibiotics deplete calcium, magnesium, potassium as well as certain B vitamins (B1-thiamin, B2-riboflavin, B3-niacin, B5-pantothenic acid, B6, B9-folic acid, B12) and vitamin K.
BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICATION (Anti-hypertensives): ACE Inhibitors, Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (ARBs), Beta Blockers, Calcium Channel Blockers. ACE inhibitors deplete zinc. Calcium channel blockers deplete potassium.
CHOLESTEROL LOWERING MEDICATION (Statins): Crestor?, Lescol?, Lipitor?, Mevacor?, Zocor? deplete Fat soluble vitamins (vitamins A, D, E, K), magnesium, CoQ10.
CORTICORSTEROIDS: Prednisone depletes calcium and magnesium.
DIABETES MEDICATION: Avandia?, Diabeta?, Glucophage? (Metformin), Prandin? deplete folate and Vitamin B12.
DIURETICS: Aldactone?, Diamox?, Lasix?, Microzide? (HCTZ), Zaroxolyn? Loop and thiazide diuretics deplete magnesium, potassium, and zinc. Potassium sparing diuretics deplete folic acid.
HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY (Estrogens): Estrace?, Premarin?, Prempro? deplete folate, magnesium, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12.
