Yesterday, I received a heart-wrenching call that shattered my world. My dear friend, Arvind, who had been in the export-import business for as long as I have been in consultations, passed away from a heart attack. It’s a loss that I’m still trying to comprehend.
Arvind and I started our professional journeys around the same time. While I ventured into the realm of consultations, Arvind chose to join his family’s leather business. He embraced the challenges of being a business owner with unwavering dedication. We often discussed how running a business means shouldering immense responsibilities, working tirelessly day in and day out. It’s a demanding, often stressful journey that requires resilience and relentless effort.
Just last week, Arvind and I were discussing the intricacies of dealing with a client from Azerbaijan. We talked about the pros and cons, shared strategies, and planned to meet in the coming months to discuss further. But life had other plans. Instead of our planned meeting, I received a call from his son, informing me that Arvind had passed away. It was a devastating blow, a stark reminder of life’s fragility.
Arvind leaves behind two children, the younger one being a seven-year-old daughter. The thought of them growing up without their father is heartbreaking. It’s a harsh reality that we often overlook until it hits close to home.

This tragic event has made me realize the paramount importance of health. In our relentless pursuit of success and wealth, we often neglect the very foundation that allows us to enjoy it—our health. Money is indeed important, but it pales in comparison to the value of good health. Without it, the wealth we accumulate is spent on hospitals and doctors, making them richer while we suffer.
To all my colleagues and connections, I urge you to prioritize your health. No matter how small the steps may seem, they can lead to significant changes. Opt for the stairs instead of the elevator, choose nutritious meals, pay attention to the nutritional value of the food you buy, and make healthier lifestyle choices. These small steps can make a big difference in the long run.
I wish you all a healthy and happy life. Rest in peace, my dear friend Arvind. Your memory will always be cherished, and your untimely departure serves as a poignant reminder for us all to value our health above all else.
Love you, man. I miss you.
