MEMORIST

Digitising for research and education

Digitising our architectural heritage is essential for preserving and passing on our history to future generations. It makes it possible to accurately document emblematic monuments, providing a solid foundation for research, conservation and restoration.

This is why MEMORIST was chosen to digitize the central monument of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Arc de Triomphe, to create a 3D reproduction integrated into an educational kit, as part of an inclusive mediation project. This type of work, carried out using laser scanners and drones, has also been carried out on the D?me des Invalides (read more in this publication) . We have digitised not only the original, but also its relief plan, produced between 1679 and 1690 - made of wood, cardboard and silk thread - and recently restored.

MEMORIST -

Safeguarding our heritage in all its forms,?wherever it may be!

MEMORIST demonstrates its expertise with an "out of the ordinary" project.?

SOFPO-Groupe ROSSMANN entrusted us with "Grand Livre N°2", an account book dating from 1909. Our experts painstakingly restored this "giant" weighing over 20 kilos, which now sits proudly in SOFPO's premises in Exideuil-sur-Vienne.?

?A feat worthy of the skills of our craftsmen!

Contributing to the longevity and historical integrity of the collections of heritage institutions is one of the museum missions of the MEMORIST teams.?

The Nelson Mandela Museum, based in Mthatha, South Africa, entrusted MEMORIST with a preservation project aimed at formalising a digital inventory of its collections. The project includes improving the acquisition register and researching the provenance of objects to ensure their historical context. These archives will enable us to retrace Mandela's life and struggle, leaving a legacy for the historians and researchers of today and tomorrow.
