Memories
By Larry Tyler
Memories are the bridge between our heart and our mind. We seem to live in the middle ground between the two. Memories hold our vast catalog of knowledge, learning, and experiences. They are our resource to the tools that we will need to engage life, to be successful and find happiness in life. The mind uses our memories as a reference when we make decisions, create change and looks to our heart to guide our emotional well being. We need both our heart and mind to balance how we engage life.
Our memories hold our journey in life, our greatest joys, our fears, our courage and our love. It is like studying history in the hope of using our past as a foundation for our future. Intuition may even be the mind and heart working together to determine the course of life we may take.
We need to always be learning, always growing as the world is ever-changing and for us to stay relevant we must use our mind as a change agent. In order to change, our mind must seek knowledge and act with innovation. Our heart must be courageous and strong so we do not shy away from taking dynamic action and change. We can use our life journey and business memories as a catalyst to give our mind the foundation to continually seek new memories and grow our mind’s resources so that we may engage life mentally and emotionally strong.
Point Of View
I see the mind and heart as two friends walking down the dirt road one talking about the wonderful places they have been and of the knowledge and wisdom they have gained. The other friend is talking about the road ahead and of all the new memories and experiences to come.
Together they are strong, fearless and capable of creating amazing things. Up ahead another joins their journey to balance the heart and mind, their new friend wisdom.
