Memorial Day - Remembering the Sacrifice of 'Infamy'

Lest we forget...

Veterans remind us of the sacrifice of their dear departed friends in defense of freedom. The VA offers many services to Veterans of every war and Veteran groups like the VFW & others remain active in ceremonies such as the one in this brief video.

A friend of mine from high school band, a Vietnam veteran, performed taps at my father's funeral last year. He and so many veterans were not killed in battle, but were always deeply respectful of their long-lost friends. Dad was a U.S. Navy veteran and many of our relatives and friends have served our nation in other branches.

Let us pause for a few moments this Memorial Day weekend and thank God for the lives of so many victims of various wars over these many years who died that we might live free.
