Memorial Day

Memorial Day

Reflection by Todd M. Price, Retired US Army Veteran

In fields where poppies grow and winds of freedom sigh, We hear the whispers of the brave who never truly die. "The legacy of valor is the torch we pass," they say, A flame ignited in the hearts of those who dared to stay.

To honor them, not just in thought but in our deeds as well, Let stones of memory be laid where silent heroes fell. Each marker not just stone, but a beacon of their life, Reflecting courage, casting light, through times of strife.

Their sacrifice, our hallowed ground, in quiet fields abide, In each of us, their valor lives, forever dignified. Let us remember, not just today, but in each act and word, The price of peace, the weight of war, the freedoms they secured.
