How will you be memorialized?

I want to first start out by giving my greatest respect and homage to those soldiers who we honor today.

They gave their very life for their country. Something they obviously believed in deeply.

That's why we honor them. That's why they're heroes.

Let's face it, we're all trading our very lives for something. What are YOU trading yours for?

A house, a car, a relationship, a paycheck? 

How will you be remembered when you're inevitably gone?

The irony is that the masses spend this day of memorialization in frivolous ways, "Hot damn! It's a day off work!"

Doesn't that seem disrespectful to the very concept of the day?

You see, the reason we have heroes is because they gave everything they have and more for the cause they believed in.

They faced incredible odds and stared them down.

They went all in.

Far too many are doing just enough to get by. Inspired by Warriors and Leaders, but that's NOT the objective.

The objective is to BECOME the Warrior and the Leader.

To see them as shining examples of possibility and then become that shining example ourselves.

Maybe today is your day to get started NOW.

As I constantly remind you. Your life is NOT getting any longer, nor is mine. We're both here for a unique purpose, and that purpose is NOT to go to the beach, the park or just to have a barbeque.

Get busy.

Be a leader.

Stop looking for heroes and become one.
