We hope everyone has had a relaxing holiday weekend remembering those who have given their lives in the service of our country. From our leadership team to you, we honor those service men and women who have secured our freedoms, making the ultimate sacrifice. These men and women who serve our country treat each other like family. Members of the military, especially those on deployment, rely on these “family members” for survival when things get tense in the line of duty. They put their lives in each other’s hands and that family is critical for survival.
On this Memorial Day, we are announcing our second charitable foundation. The goal of this foundation will be to assist local military families in our service areas, who have spouses deployed away from home or who have recently retired from the military and are transitioning to civilian life. Our goal is to give monetary support as well as a support network of volunteers to assist these people with needs that the military does not. We would like to be that supplemental family they can call on like their loved ones count on while serving.
We are naming this foundation Allen’s Family for Military Assistance. The name comes from our Vice President of Technology, Allen. Allen has served this country for over 31 years in the Kansas National Guard. He’s been deployed to combat zones and has received multiple commendations and achievements. Allen continues to serve and we are proud to have his leadership skills put to use. Thank you, Allen!
This is the second charitable foundation we’ve announced. As we prepare to start operations later this year, we wanted to make sure we had some of our attention focused on serving those in our community. These foundations will not be used for fund raising but rather to distribute excess corporate profits once employees and shareholders have been taken care of. At some point, we may opt to receive corp-to-corp donations but not donations from the general public. These foundations will not be in operation until at least 2021.
