Memorial Day 2023

The annual holiday and extended weekend is here; patriotism will be in full swing through many ceremonies honoring men and women service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice. It was in selfless service to our country, either combat on foreign lands or back home succumbing to injuries and/or a disease where life was lost. May these upcoming moments, these memorials inspire more people to comfort the widows, the children, and the families of the fallen. In love, gratitude, and humbled appreciation for their sacrifice, may we never forget their memories.

2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Paris Peace Accords ending combat operations in the #vietnamwar. It's a reminder of how young most of the soldiers were during this period in our history. A generation lost but not forgotten, honoring these legacies continues to offer peace and comfort to their families.

If you're down around Neptune Beach FL, drive down 3rd Street to Hopkins Street and you'll find one of many memorial signs within the Jacksonville Beach community. These beach communities collectively enacted programs honoring their fallen soldier citizens and legacies via a custom memorial signpost. Future generations now will see and gain insight into each soldier's service awards, I'm honored my father's legacy is one of those proudly posted. We will #neverforget, and our #welcomehome sign will always be on.
