A Memorable Start in KSA: My Journey as a T&D Professional

Let me take you back to April 2010, when I began my career as a Training Consultant with Peaks Construction Company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This story marks the beginning of a journey that has shaped my passion for training and development.

In those early days, I decided to introduce a culture of training within the organization, starting with the topic of "Constructive Criticism." I believed that this concept was essential for personal and professional growth, and I was determined to share its value with my colleagues.

I'll be honest; I was incredibly nervous. Standing in front of the participants, I felt the weight of responsibility. But I pushed through my anxiety and gave it my all. This was a moment I had prepared for, and I was determined to make it count.

The session lasted for three hours, during which I explained the importance of constructive criticism in the workplace. We discussed how it could drive improvement and growth, emphasizing the need for a positive and constructive approach when giving and receiving feedback.

But it wasn't all theory; I wanted the session to be practical and engaging. So, we wrapped up with an activity that allowed the participants to put their newfound knowledge into practice. The room was filled with energy as everyone actively participated and shared their thoughts.

To my surprise and delight, the participants loved the session. Their enthusiasm was evident, and as we concluded, they began asking for the next one. It was a moment of validation, confirming that I had chosen the right path.

This experience was more than just a successful training session, it was the moment I found my true calling. It ignited my passion for training and helping individuals grow. From that day forward, I continued my journey as a Training Consultant, and I've never looked back.
