One of my best inspirations in my life came from the book called "Die Empty" by Todd Henry. The author was inspired and got this idea of writing this book while attending a business meeting. When the director asked the audience: "Where is the richest land in the world?"
One of the audiences answered: "Oil-rich Gulf states." Another added: "Diamond mines in Africa."
Then the director said:
"No it is the cemetery. Yes, it is the richest land in the world because millions of people have departed from it, "they have died" and they carry many valuable ideas that did not come out of the light and benefited others. It is all in the cemetery where they were buried."
Inspired by this answer, Todd Henry wrote his wonderful book "Die empty." Where he did his best to motivate people to pour out their ideas and potential energies in their communities and turn them into something useful before it is too late.
The most beautiful of what he said in his book is that:
"Do not go to your grave and you carry inside you the best that you have, always choose to die empty." Die empty is a new expression and unique on its own way, at first glance you will think it is normal. But I was surprised to know the true meaning of this new expression.
·??????It is to die empty of all the goodness that is within you. Deliver it before you leave this world.
·??????If you have an idea perform it.
·??????If you have knowledge give it out.
·??????If you have a goal achieve it.
·??????Love, share and distribute, do not keep it inside.
·??????Do not keep the goodness inside of you and die full of ideas and be a delicious meal for the earthworms in the grave.

Most of us live with the stubborn idea that we will always have tomorrow. But sooner or later all of our tomorrows will run out.
Are you empty today? No is the answer. I think we all weigh thousands of tons of goodness, creativity, love, and hope that we can give. We have not given all of it, except a little.
How I wish that we start the race to give and remove every atom of goodness inside us. We should learn how to find and sustain our passion and generosity, even in tough times.
Inside you there are 2 Personalities that play out the drama every day. It’s up-to you to decide who is winning at the end of the day. There are problems, there are concerns & it’s like the paper weight on our wings, The self-pity is that paper weight, you must get that out first. No one will sit and console you forever, don’t fear the insults, abuses and sometime the threats, After all its up-to you to decide. what we want to leave behind and take forward to the next day.
No one escaped hitting new lows in their life, few years back when I was doing my best and in the peak of my performance someone decided to put an end to my dream run. They snatched from me the great things I love to do at work every day, they gave me a corner seat and made me do things that I wouldn’t do for living. They ensured that all my motivation and morale completely drained and all my creative juice flow without being tapped for organization growth. Someone said to me its very normal in corporate life, you call it a midlife crisis or corporate politics, or shit happens.
It took me couple of months to dust me off, my family was considerate in giving me that space to heal my wounds, I was bit grumpy and losing my temper for small things. Played my victim card and justified my ruffian behaviour with my loved ones. Yes, this what happens when we hit our new lows, but the realization came in few weeks that I can transform to a newer self, much powerful than what I was. I believed that I could make a difference in the new organization, and I did.
The power of believing that you have lot to give and making sure you empty yourself to the best. Yes, Move ahead with lot of faith and hope. Person who always believe he has better future, make it to the mountain top. Never ever give up on Life?and there is always more to give till you die empty.
Godspeed
Dinesh Chandrasekar DC*
P.S: All views expressed here are my personal views and opinion and have no bearing to the organization I work
