The "MeMee" Circus: Tragedy, Served Cold

Yesterday morning, we all woke up to the tragic news that George Baldock (a Greek national footballer ??) had drowned in his home.
For most of us (I'm guessing, hoping) it was sad news and we shared the passing away of Baldock within our social community.
Others though took it is an opportunity to create media hype and draw attention (I call these people the "MeMeees" because they believe that the world revolves around them). These "MeMeees" are very productive because they generate engagement and most of them work in MeMeee platforms like... well, anywhere they can, especially on TV. One of the biggest MeMeees, G. Liagkas, is on a weekday morning show.
This host has nearly 200,000 followers on certain social MeMee media sites, and he is on a major TV channel, and has been a public figure (if you can call him that) for many years. I'll refer to him here as "L, G" (not the brand, because life is, in my opinion strictly--don't sue me, 'not good' when this guy appears. Again, it's just my feeling and I can't help my feelings).
So, what did we learn from "L, G" with regard the passing away of George Baldock? We learned that:
A person DIED, and this is the garbage we’re fed? ???
Here’s my problem: why are we giving airtime to these media MeMeees? Why are powerful brands still throwing money at this filth? Oh right—engagement. Because all it takes is a few clicks and likes, and suddenly, this circus of misinformation and heartlessness is legitimized.

Disengage from the MeMeees?
Good luck...!! Even that seems to be a challenge. MeMeees are flooding the rivers of our minds with everything from kittens that rap a wild tune, to deep fake videos of Presidents doing the oddest of things. Just turning off is not enough anymore.
??We need to voice our concerns and we need to create change. We need to build damns of respect that will not allow for toxic MeMeees to get through.
We need to take back control. Speak out, and push for real change. Demand the removal of "MeMeees" from the public stage, because apologies aren’t enough anymore. They need to face the consequences for turning every tragedy into their next viral moment.
It’s time to tear down the platform that offer carrion and build one that stands for decency, respect, and real journalism.
No more "MeMeees." End their show.

*Gosshit shows are money making machines, but they are also making us sick!
