Memcon SMD LEDs for Printed Electronics

Surface mount placement for Printed Electronics presents challenges as traditional solder needs high temperatures to cure which will melt polyester substraits. The solution the industry has adopted is Conductive Silver Epoxy which cures at lower temps. Epoxy is traditionally placed by dot dispensing and is difficult to maintain tight locations. Experience showed the smallest length x width size SMD products that would ensure success is 1206. The industry 1206 LEDs were at 1.1mm height - Memcon engineered and tooled a better solution.
