Memcon Polarized & Locking Connectors
In connector mating situations when locking and polarization are needed consider the Memcon HE13/14 Connector System
Developed for when locking crimp connectors need to engage to mating headers with a locking method. The walls of the PCB Header are profiled and engage with the plastic housing. To disengage a tool like a screwdriver is used to flex the wall away from the housing.
Using Memcon MHE housings at 2.54mm (0.100") pitch, the system provides a locking profile along with polarizing fins on the bottom to ensure proper mating
to Memcon MPTH PCB Headers. This is an industry standard HE13/HE14 style - most associated with discete wire.
Note the mechanical engagement with the profile on the header that will lock - making unmating impossible without a tool.
