David Houslip having acquired the company in 2019 has developed a niche offering to the South East Qld construction sector, focusing on projects that required advanced BIM services including cut-ins, refurbishments and reconfigurations.

Studio Steel now employs 35 talented individuals in Cooroy, contributing to the growth and prosperity of our region. Their exceptional team has expanded to a total of 64 professionals, marking a staggering 600% growth in both revenue and staff over the past three years.

Key to Studio Steel's growth is their strong digital foundation. Utilising advanced Building Information Modelling (BIM).??

They digitally scan worksites using cutting-edge LIDAR technology, processing the data through for use in steel 3D models. This approach enables them to update their CAD models to the actual state of each site, eliminating expensive rework operations and building their reputation for on-time and budget delivery.

David rightly identifies BIM as the real gap in the market. While many businesses in the construction sector struggle to integrate this game-changing technology, the benefits it offers are enormous.
