Meet Ivan Simic.??

Ivan joined Aramark in 2008 as a Director of Catering. After taking a short break at another property, Ivan returned in 2021 as the General Manager of the Anaheim Convention Center, where he's at now. He got his start in the hospitality industry through is temporary summer job at Universal Studios Hollywood, and later worked for Starwood Hotels and Wolfgang Puck Catering before finding his way to Aramark.?

One of the best parts of Ivan's job is supporting community outreach and sustainability initiatives. He and his team contribute to the local community every single month in a variety of ways including assisting the Anaheim Police Department with back-to-school drives and distributing clothing to low-income families in the area.

The best piece of professional advice Ivan has received is to "find the value in feedback and criticism. Each piece of feedback you receive can help you grow and further develop in your career." There are several trends Ivan is currently loving but among the top is a reducetarian diet (reducing meat but not giving it up completely), zero-proof spirits, butter boards, olive oil coffee, and climate-conscious foods.??

Ivan won our Invite Award at our most recent leadership meeting, thanks to the tremendous amount of work he has put into building an all-star team at one of the busiest convention centers in the west. Well done, Ivan, so well deserved!
