Meldrum & Dick White Referrals

It was my first visit on site. DWR new building is being occupied gradually and equipment is moved from the still connected old building. I am excited by the top of the range equipment, the silent long corridors, the faint smell of a laboratory - so familiar from my days as a Medical Photographer.

I remind myself that I am here to photograph the building - the feel of it, the materials, the spaces. And I am loving every corner of it, every space that opens into a bigger space, the doors that lead to other rooms, the functionality of it all, the calmness of the white colour, the consistent lines of the building, the symmetry.

And there is also the light that comes with the meagre April sun at 6am and with the light arrive the people. The building changes shape, mood and colour with the advancement of the day and human activity.
