There truly is no respite for the wicked! My first week back from annual leave has been filled with processing 500 emails, numerous calls, six meetings, and a visit to TECH Drive alongside WHG. I find it challenging to begin this blog, as I must admit that technology often confounds me! The TECH Drive roadshow serves as an excellent resource for information, knowledge, and industry insights, featuring enthusiastic individuals eager to tackle any challenges. WHG, a provider of telematics, IoT, and technology solutions in Australia, is utilised by some of our clients for customised solutions. The venue, Campground Kitchen, was charming, with products showcased next door and a lineup of impressive speakers. We heard from the Harley Brothers about the latest advancements in fleet management and fatigue, enhancing fleet connectivity and preparing for the future. I won’t delve into specifics here, as the experts (Dylan and Calvin) are available to address the complex questions. Listening to Peter from VTA discuss proposed changes to HGV licensing laws aimed at facilitating entry for younger individuals into the industry has been a topic of conversation for several years; this change is overdue, as technology has progressed significantly, and policies must evolve accordingly.
