Hi Everyone, thanks for following my content.? I am a Health Equity Education Coach and what that means is I combine coach leadership, health equity, belonging and well-being in nursing education to transform our relationship with equity practices.? I hope to bend the arc in nursing towards nurses who act locally, but think globally.? I imagine nurses who are activists, rebels, advocates, and helpers demanding that we use our healing abilities to restore relationships between minoritized and divested persons so that we can see their beauty through the scars that our society has inflicted upon them. ?And with this knowledge, this change in attitude, our practice will change, and so will the health of our society.?
I am a part of a beautiful community of nurses called the Nurse Champions for Justice.? We meet monthly to share, reflect, awaken and transform our appreciation for each other as nurses, especially as BILPOC nurses.? In our Healing Space Dialogues,? we do writing prompts to help us individually and collectively experience a concept at a deeper level.? It's very nourishing work.? I wanted to share with you one of my written reflections about what Black women do for and in society.
