Meh, Just Go Hunting.

I get it. Farming is hard work.

Cultivating clients is not easy.

All of the trust building up front.

And framing offers with empathy.

And the follow up.

And nurturing.

And the providing of value before you get paid.

And more follow up.

And all the time and work it takes for weeks and months to HOPEFULLY harvest a ripe sale.

It would be easier to just sniff out people with the problem, right?

If they have a scratch, make it a gash.

Relentlessly pursue them until they buy your solution or kick you in the mouth.

Pin them down and force a decision.

Then you can eat, right?

Don’t be a fool.

Tomorrow you’ll have to do the same thing. And you might not be so lucky.

Hunters live in caves. Farmers lay the foundation for civilization.

You can keep your company prehistoric. Just don’t be surprised if you’re always chasing the next sale, with no time left to grow.

Better to cultivate your opportunities.

Hunting at scale causes mass extinction events. But farming at scale is what allowing you to read this, (and do your job everyday) with no worries about where your next meal is coming from.

Likewise, when you’re not worried about where your next sale is coming from, you can work on your business in so many other ways.

Now go get your hands dirty,
