Megan Thee Stallion & Popeyes Collab
Hot Girl, Tina Snow, whatever name you decide to call Megan Thee Stallion by?it better have plenty of respect on it. The 26-year old Houston-born rapper and singer is our here handling her business.?
It was announced earlier today that Meg?inked a deal? with Miami-based fast food chicken joint, Popeyes Louisiana Fried Chicken, on her owned hot sauce called Hottie Sauce. The hot sauce is set to debut at Popeyes next week. She also announced that she's opening up her very own Popeyes franchises as well.
Megan's brand partnership with Popeyes follows a similar playbook leveraged by McDonalds who have?co-branded? with big names like Travis Scott, Saweetie and Bad Bunny to the tune of millions of dollars in sales.
Dave Chappelle Opening Up Comedy Club and Restaurant

One thing we all dream about is becoming successful and going back to our hometown to give back. Arguably one of the greatest comedian's of our generation (hold the side eyes and eye rolls, we said arguably), Dave Chappelle is doing just that. He is building a brand?new comedy club ?and jumping into the restaurant business in his hometown of Yellow Springs, OH.?
Now I'm almost for sure that nobody here at the Cookout has been to nor heard of Yellow Springs, OH. Here's a little background so you can imagine. Yellow Springs, OH is technically a village located in central Ohio, 30 minutes outside of Dayton and 1 hour from Columbus. In 2019 the population totaled a whopping 3,872 residents. Not to mention, the village website actually lists all the restaurants in town. I think you get the picture.
After buying the old firehouse in December 2020, Chappelle and his team have finally received approval from the commission to open restaurant Firehouse Eatery and comedy club Live from YS. Chappelle sees this as an "If you build it, they will come" project and was quoted saying "I'm not trying to make a club, I'm trying to make a way". It doesn't get bigger than that when looking to make an impact. There hasn't been any word on what cuisine the food will be at Firehouse Eatery but we at the Cookout are anxious to hear. We can't help but wonder if he will have ribs on the menu with their "greasy porkiness" (for any who doesn't get the reference, click?here ?for a good laugh)
What type of cuisine do you want to see at Firehouse Eatery and will you make the trip to Yellow Springs to see Dave Chappelle and friends perform at Live from YS? We wanna know what our cousins think.
Soul Food Restaurant Named to Top 50 List
As we said at the beginning of this week's newsletter, we love to see Black folks winning and getting their praise! Winning is exactly what?Hannibal's Soul Kitchen ?is doing out here. The Charleston, South Carolina-based restaurant serving up soul food and?Gullah Geeche fare ?was named to the?New York Times ?50 most exciting restaurants. The annual list is compiled by critics, reporters and editors from the New York Times acclaimed Food desk.
The restaurant founded in 1985 by the Huger family and named after the family patriarch, Robert "Hannibal" Huger, was the only South Carolina based restaurant featured on the list (ok, y'all putting on for the whole damn state).
The?restaurant serves up the traditional soul food that we all know in love. I'm talking about collard greens, corn bread, oxtails but the menu is also packed with Gullah Geechee cuisine popular in the low country.?Dishes like shrimp and crab rice and shrimp and grits. Sheesh.
The Cookout team will definitely be pulling up to Hannibal's!

3 年I always try to avoid those kinds of folks, however; they seem be drawn to me. There a man who is retired from the government by the name of skim Luxton. Who I found out in the last 7 years was racist and followed me at the same time in love with me. As a investigator questioned him about it, Jim luxton said he is stalking (when he was at the age 70 now he is 72) me because I turned him down while I was working for homeland security. Then after telling him over 4 of those 7 Years that I do not look at him in that fashion, that I saw him as an aquantence. After I took him to court with a 50 B and a 50 C the judge denied and blocked my 50 B and 50 C .

3 年Good info! Love the newsletter. If you’re in the Savannah Charleston area I’d love to have you on one of my shows
I personally would not support anything Megan sells or promote.
Dissapointed to see Chappelle getting any kind of props right now. Why not highlight any of the countless successful black men who haven't shat all over the trans community?
