Project: Substation Job Role: Testing & Commissioning (Site) Minimum Qualification: B.Tech/ B.E. - Electrical, Experience: Experience in Testing & Commissioning (gulf experience, SEC experience is preferable) activities in Construction Industry and handling the requirement in TECOMS management functions in Construction Projects.

Objective: - Planning the T&C activities in line with project requirement in TECOMS. Coordinating with our EDRC team for modification of Cable schedule, Inter Connection Schedule & Scheme as per system requirement to complete the project commissioning with quality.

Key Responsibilities:

?Develop and execute comprehensive testing and commissioning plans for electrical substations in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

?Preparation of test procedures, test report formats and as built drawings etc. including client approval.

?Identify areas of conflict between system requirements and designed schemes and recommend corrective action in compliance with Client/customer specification.

?Control and monitoring site activities with respect to project plan.

?IS/IEC/SEC standards, client approved procedures and manufacture’s procedure.

?Coordination with OEM/Manufacturer, relay, SCADA engineers and other equipment vendors for timely completion of project.

?Implementing safety and Quality standards as per company Guidelines, Conducting safety training program to sub-ordinates and technicians every month.

?Updating weekly progress & planning in TECOMS in line with work front available at site and the project requirement.

?Coordination with Quality control team for raising witness inspections with client/owner.

Preparation of test report in line with the test results observed at site, getting witness signature and uploading the report in TECOMS.

?Proper maintenance of T&C assets and ensuring periodic calibration and proper storage of the same.

?Developing GET, DET, Site supervisors and technicians for future jobs in T&C

?Training Client engineer about the system commissioned.

?Supporting factory inspection of various substation equipment’s in line with the requirement of project & inspection team.

?Providing commissioning support to other sites during critical stages & whenever required.

?Providing job closing support by clearing client punch points, left out commissioning works and if any.

Technical Expertise:

?Approval from local authority (SEC/Client) is mandatory.

? Good Knowledge in power electrical systems up to EHV levels.

? Familiar with protection schemes, logic, and protection relays configuration and testing.

? Good understanding of technical issues and thorough understanding of specifications.

?In depth knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures with ability to use in varied situations.

?Should possess good planning and co-ordination skills.

?Use of Microsoft office software as necessary for reporting and communication.

?Approval from the utilities.

Operating Network:

? Commissioning of various equipment’s in line with IS/IEC/SEC standards, client approved procedures and manufacture’s procedures.

?Testing equipment’s based on project needs to be arranged.
