#MeetUsMonday--Jessie LouAllen
WLRH 89.3 FM/HD
3 Channels of Public Radio excellence, offering Music, News, and Community Programming for the Tennessee Valley.
Jessie has been a listener of WLRH since she moved to the area in 2011. Her favorite WLRH memories are listening to Kai Ryssdal’s signature “This is Marketplace” while making the commute home after classes at 5:30. Tied for second on her all-time favorites list are All Things Considered and Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me. She graduated from UAH in 2013 with a BA in Communications and has since dabbled in almost every communications work option there is: newspaper, business, marketing, TV, and now radio!
Jessie lives in Madison with her husband and two daughters. She spends the vast majority of her time playing pretend dinosaurs/lions/bears/leopards (are you sensing a predator theme here?) with her older girl, reading The Tiger Who Came to Tea for the 100th?time to her younger girl, and making only twelve cookies so they can eat all of them at one time with both of them. In her non-existent free time, she loves to read books, although she has to alternate between fiction and non-fiction so she actually learns something in between the fluffy stuff.
She is multi-talented, handling much of our social media, brainstorming ways to thank our listeners, and even running a soundboard from time to time. Her desire to make WLRH a better place is evident, and we hope our members appreciate what she adds to our team.?
