#MeetTheMoovers: Quinten, Regional MD (SSA) & Head of Central Operations
Hi Quinten Indarjith (MBA) ! Tell us a bit about your role at Moove. . .
I have been a Moover since September 2021. I am the Regional MD for SSA looking after the SA and Ghana Markets while also being the Global Head of Central Operations. I am based at the Dubai HQ and I report to Caroline Hazelhurst, President of Operations
What excites you the most about your role?
What I enjoy most is working with people from different walks of life, different cultures and different levels of experience. Navigating this dynamic can pose its own set of challenges, but I thrive on the opportunity to learn and grow from such rich diversity.
What is one thing that you wish people knew about your job?
You really need to be a “Jack of all Trades” in my role. From managing Insurance in Nigeria, to marketplace dynamics and P&L management in SA and Ghana, while also managing OEM relationships in existing and future markets. So essentially, I guess the one thing that other Moovers perhaps don’t know, is the diversity in my role.
In your opinion, what sets Moove apart from other companies in the region?
What sets Moove apart in my mind are the Moovers that have been part of this business both past and present. I believe that we have and have had some really amazing talent at Moove and I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy my interactions with the amazing Moovers in all our markets.
Describe Moove in 3 words.
Impactful, Challenging, Resilient

What's your secret to staying sane in the fast-paced world of Moove SSA? Is it copious amounts of coffee, a lucky charm, or just a really good sense of humour?
In my opinion - “Africa is not for sissies” and I believe that all Moovers, no matter where you are in the world have come to realise that by now. So how do I cope, I guess all of the above with the exception of a lucky charm. What I do find helps is a long run along the beach promenade as often as I can, allows for the clearing of the mind while also keeping the body in some sort of shape. I guess it's been working as Ladi keeps telling me how much weight I have lost every time he sees me.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I’m in my forties now, so I enjoy watching football more than I do playing it. I enjoy a good run along the beach, but probably more, I enjoy entertaining, having friends over for a good dinner or an even better Braai at home (I am South African after all).
What is your favourite meal? Give us a quick recipe on how to make it.
A South African Style Braai
Simple recipe:
Get some coal going in your braai stand
Put on some really good steak, lamb chops and boerewors (Google what this is, for those who don’t know)
Marry that with a nice ice-cold beverage (I will leave that to your imagination)
If you could pick any superpower, what would it be and why?
I would love to turn water into wine (these things are expensive in Dubai).
