As a Business Assistant and Office Manager at Moove, my role is both comprehensive and demanding, encompassing a wide range of responsibilities. I handle daily office operations, including procurement, which involves sourcing and managing supplies and equipment to ensure we are well-stocked and operational. I also oversee relationships with service providers, ensuring we receive high-quality services and maintain effective communication.

A typical day begins with reviewing emails and setting priorities to manage a busy schedule. I organize and prepare for meetings, manage logistical arrangements, and ensure that office functions run smoothly. This involves coordinating with various departments and addressing any issues that arise promptly.

In addition to these tasks, I support diverse projects and initiatives, which require juggling multiple responsibilities and adapting to changing needs. I plan and execute team bonding activities, contributing to a positive work environment and fostering team cohesion. My role also includes contributing to strategic initiatives, which demands a proactive approach and the ability to handle complex challenges.

The position is both dynamic and demanding, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Despite the challenges, it is incredibly rewarding to support the team and contribute to the company's success.

What attracted you to Moove, and how has your experience been so far?

Moove's mission and vision resonated with me, and I wanted to be part of such a great initiative. I have witnessed the struggles people face in this country, often being exploited by car owners. Moove offers a flexible, understandable, and feasible solution, addressing unemployment and promoting entrepreneurship.

Can you tell us about a memorable experience at Moove?

As a Business Assistant and Office Manager at Moove, a memorable experience was organizing our annual end-of-year hangout. Designed to foster teamwork and creativity, we chose a beautiful location outside the city for relaxation and fun. I coordinated logistics, managed schedules, and ensured smooth team-building activities. Seeing everything work according to plan and witnessing the laughter, dancing, fun activities, chats, and meals, I felt incredibly satisfied. The team's enjoyment and the relaxed atmosphere made all the effort worthwhile.

What is your favourite project that you've worked on at Moove, and why?

My favorite project is our ongoing End-of-Month team bonding hangout, held on the last Friday of every month. This initiative ensures that birthday celebrants are celebrated together, fostering team spirit. We play various team bonding games that I carefully select, and we enjoy food and drinks together. This project is my favorite because I believe a team that plays, celebrates, and eats together can achieve great things. Teamwork is Moove Ghana's biggest strength, and this project has significantly contributed to it. Why wouldn't it be my favorite project? Lol!

What inspired you to join Moove, and how has your perception of the company evolved?

I was inspired to join Moove because of its mission to provide flexible, accessible mobility solutions that address real-world challenges in our region. The company’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurship and addressing unemployment through innovative vehicle leasing options resonated deeply with me. Since joining Moove, my perception of the company has only grown more positive. I’ve seen firsthand the dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment, as well as the continuous drive for innovation. The collaborative culture and the company’s focus on impactful solutions have reaffirmed my enthusiasm and commitment to being part of Moove’s journey.

What do you like to do in your free time? How do you balance work and personal life?

In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, writing, reading, and exploring new cuisines. These activities help me relax and recharge, providing a healthy balance to the demands of my role. To balance work and personal life, I prioritize setting clear boundaries between work and home. I schedule regular downtime and ensure that I allocate time for hobbies and relaxation. Staying organized and managing my time effectively allows me to meet work responsibilities while still enjoying personal interests and spending quality time with family and friends.

What is something that your colleagues don't know about you?

One thing that my colleagues might not know about me is that I have a deep passion for the performing arts. Outside of work, I write drama scripts, direct stage plays, and act on stage at my church. I also enjoy choreographing dance routines for various productions. This creative outlet allows me to express myself artistically and collaborate with others in a different way. My involvement in the performing arts not only provides a fulfilling escape from the daily grind but also enhances my skills in teamwork, project management, and creative problem-solving, which often translate into my professional life.

What is a personal or professional accomplishment that you are proud of?

One personal accomplishment I’m particularly proud of is advancing through the academic ladder with the support of scholarships. As the first among my seven siblings to earn a bachelor's and master's degree, along with additional professional certificates, this achievement is a significant milestone for me. These scholarships were instrumental in making my educational journey possible and have allowed me to reach goals I once thought were out of reach. This accomplishment not only represents my dedication and hard work but also stands as a source of inspiration for my family, demonstrating that with determination and support, significant goals can be achieved.

How would you describe your team, and what makes working with them enjoyable?

I would describe my team as dynamic, supportive, and highly collaborative. Working with them is enjoyable due to their commitment to excellence and their willingness to help each other. The diversity of skills and perspectives within the team fosters creativity and innovation. Additionally, the positive attitude and sense of camaraderie make the work environment both productive and pleasant. We celebrate each other’s successes and work together to overcome challenges, which creates a strong sense of unity and shared purpose. My team in Moove Ghana are the best people I've ever worked with.

What advice would you give to someone starting a career at Moove?

For someone starting a career at Moove, my advice would be to embrace a proactive and open-minded approach, be flexible, and ability to accept change. Take the initiative to learn about the company’s culture, goals, and operations, and actively seek out opportunities to contribute. Build strong relationships with colleagues across departments, as collaboration is key to success here. Don’t hesitate to ask questions and seek feedback, as this will help you grow and adapt quickly. Additionally, stay adaptable and be willing to take on new challenges, as this will not only enhance your skills but also demonstrate your commitment to the company's success.
