Hi Adedolapo Jafojo ! Tell us about your role at Moove. . .

I have been a Moover since April 2023. I am the Head of Operations for the Nigerian market and it's a hybrid work structure. I manage everything related to the drivers - from acquisition to training, onboarding, and customer success. I also ensure operations run smoothly working closely with the fleet team ??

What excites you the most about your role?

Working on new initiatives, leading projects, and seeing how they positively impact our drivers ??????

What has been your proudest moment at Moove so far?

During a recent customer engagement session where we had our drivers come in for an interactive forum, listened to them talk about how Moove has changed their lives.

The opportunity to partner with Moove enabled them to earn a good income, send their children to good schools, and make life better for their families. The stories were truly inspiring and made everything worth it ??

How do you ensure efficient coordination between driver-partners and the NG operations team?

By constant engagement with our drivers. We foster a collaborative culture with real-time communication tools and feedback channels. We also have standardised procedures and provide continuous training to improve consistency and safety.

Lastly, we leverage data analytics for informed decision-making and forecasting. The drivers are the heart of the organisation and we must hear from them, to continue to build for them ???

Have you ever had a "Murphy's Law" day where everything that could go wrong did? How did you handle it?

Yes, I have had a few of those days. I take a step back to identify the root cause of what has gone wrong. I am very solution-driven so I delve quickly into possible solutions, I prioritise what needs to get done looking at what is within my control and where I need support from other collaborators ??

What advice would you give to someone aspiring to a leadership role in operations?

A team is only as strong as the people it is made up of. You have to motivate your team, and help them see how their day-to-day operational activities align with the strategic objectives of the business ??????

If Moove had a mascot, what would it be and why?

An Eagle because it is an agile bird representing speed and financial freedom which is the goal for our drivers ??

What's your secret weapon for staying calm during a traffic jam in Lagos?

Watching funny videos on Instagram ??
