New year, new you?

Who loves New Year’s resolutions? Do they invigorate you to start the year off with fresh intentions and rejuvenated energy? Or are you just totally wiped out after all the winter holiday chaos? Whatever headspace we find you in at this moment, we are ready to start 2024 off right—with you! Before everything kicks into gear, let’s take a moment to set some intentions.?Our evergreen resolution is to do right... by our clients, by our partners, for ourselves, and for the world around us. And to do this all while having some fun, spreading some joy, and coating the world in color and pattern along the way.?

Fresh and shiny Studio resolutions!

1. De-jargon-ify! As we step into the new year?we are embracing clarity. We’ll ask clients to let us know when we are using confusing design lingo?so we can replace it with plain speak.
2. Be like stretchy?pants.?We’re committed to building flexibility into our creative process and designs to?leave?room for changing circumstances and natural evolution.?
3. Balance—minus the tightrope act. We’ll fill our days with a healthy mix of activities, interactions, relationships, and areas of focus to?make us even more creative and well-rounded.
4. Ask all the questions, even the silly ones. In 2024, curiosity will reign supreme! All questions are an opportunity to expand our knowledge and get to the heart of a new project, partner, or process.
5. Let the robots lend a hand. Whether it’s letting Photoshop AI fill in a snippet of sky or asking ChatGPT for a fancy spreadsheet formula, we’re leveraging?AI so our human smarts can go further.?
6. Spread smiles with wild abandon. We’ll weave disarming delight into everything we do this year—from posing entertaining ice breakers in meetings to sending snail mail that’s worth saving.?
7. Iteration is the mother of innovation. Let’s proof everything upside down and backwards. In 2024, we’ll keep finding new ways to review, critique, revise, evolve, and build upon what came before.
8. Just go for it! We are challenging ourselves to take extra leaps this year. We’ll trust in our experience and keep branching out beyond our comfort zones. May 2024 be the year we find boundless new opportunities!?

Goodbye 2023!

Giving up what no longer serves us

Julie Sherman: I’m giving up my quest for “inbox zero”—it just isn’t possible and I end up wasting time and emotional energy trying to get there!

Julie McCarthy: I am giving up negative self-talk—replacing self-doubt with self-empowering thoughts that boost confidence instead of dampening it.

Kate Costa: I’m giving up “doing it all.” There simply aren’t enough hours in the day to check everything off my list—and that’s okay!

Abi Maulion: I’m giving up the idea of perfection. It doesn’t exist, and I’m finding that beautiful things can come out of mistakes or messiness!
