Meeting without preparation

Many participants come to attend meeting without adequate preparation. Some do not have a role in a meeting. Just because of the position they hold they got invited. Interestingly it's the unprepared who talk most in the meetings, they go beyond agenda, they dilute priorities. Sometimes lack of presence of mind make the meetings unproductive and uninteresting.

still there is a bright side, some people come up with ideas instantly in meetings, yes brand new ideas sometime. That's good news.

So allow people to join meetings even without preparation and a specific role, let them talk freely with their ideas, capture them, turn them into action points immediately and follow them up in a disciplined manner.
