Meet Your Talent Acquisition Team – Jayson Addcox

Alteryx is growing quickly! Driving this growth is our Talent Acquisition team, who are out there every day speaking with candidates about why Alteryx is a great place to work. In our “Meet Your Talent Acquisition Team” series, we get to know our recruiters and sourcers one-by-one. Meet Jayson Addcox, Director, Talent Acquisition.?

Q: How did you find your way to Alteryx??

A:?I had the pleasure of working with Jill Bone, Acting Chief People Officer, and L. David Kingsley, former CPO, while I was at Salesforce. Jill reached out to me to tell me more about Alteryx and the journey they were on. At Salesforce, I was leading our TA strategy for M&A and having had the opportunity to support acquisitions such as Tableau, Vlocity, Mulesoft and Slack made me realize that I wanted to work for a smaller, nimbler organization. Alteryx offered that as well as the opportunity to build something special.?

Q: What’s your role and who do you hire??

A:?I lead Talent Acquisition for our Sales & Marketing, Customer Success, and Corporate recruiting functions globally. Our team is responsible for attracting top talent across the globe, hiring for roles such Account Executives, Sales Engineers, Partner Managers, Customer Support Engineers, Customer Success Managers and Corporate/HR functions.?

Q: What do you like about working at the company and on the Talent Team??

A: It may sound a bit cliché, but the team we have built in People & Culture is amazing and it truly feels like a family. I love what we’re doing here as an organization, we have a great product, an amazing team and thoughtful leadership.?

Q: What advice would you give someone looking for their dream job???

A:?I’m a huge proponent of the philosophy that we create our own luck. My advice is to identify what your dream job is, take the necessary steps in your education and career to ensure you’re prepared for it and then go get it. There is nothing better as a TA professional than when you help someone achieve that goal.?

Q: What’s something not a lot of people know about you??

A:? A lot of people don’t know that I was born in Venezuela and came to the US when I was 5 years old. English is my second language, and I was very lucky to have been raised in a multi-cultural home where my mom spoke only Spanish and shared the beauty of the Latin culture with my two older sisters and I. And, my dad being American instilled in us the core values of the American culture. For that, I consider myself fortunate.?
