Meet your next great mentor!

Meet your next great mentor!

I’ve decided to give away one of my favourite event ideas.

Years ago, I had the notion to develop an exciting hour of entertainment to benefit those in my local business community. To my surprise, within days of imagining it, someone gave me the opportunity.

Before I introduce it, here’s how you can create the event in FOUR easy steps:

  • Find someone who can speak very fast.
  • Gather approx. ten (10) of your selected business leaders based on experience, accomplishment and overall influence. Essentially, mentor-like people. If you can’t fill the coffers, fill in the blanks with fun surprise ‘leaders’, like your uncle or colleague who mentors chess players in the park. Whatever you decide, you’ll figure it out.
  • Invite your community and everyone they know, because you are about to raise BIG money for your chosen charity.
  • Then, make a ton of auction paddles.

Ladies and Gentlemen: 'The Live Mentor Auction'

Meet your next great mentor!

The event gives attendees the opportunity to bid on 10 professional “mentors” in a fast-paced, action-packed auction. The goal is to win the bid and be awarded a minimum two-hour meeting to “Get to know your Mentor”.

To ease the minds of leaders reading this, let it be known, your commitment to the relationship is only two hours long. You don’t need to marry this stranger. However, you may develop reasons of your own for getting to know this winner!

The intention is to connect two members of the business community who would have otherwise never met, to see if they connect and develop a mentor/mentee relationship.

It’s fast-talking action and high vibes.

If you shape your message, invitation and select the right venue - big money can be raised for your chosen charity. Plus, it’s exceptional publicity and it brings your business community together.

Whether it's specifically a business community, or your specific type of community, this event can bring huge value to your network of people. Be the spark that lights them up!

Just make sure I get an invitation.

I like the idea. Why not put it in practice? People really need mentors for their business...and life.
