“People deserve to have a community, it is critical for our society” - Liz Elam

We're kicking off episode 1 of Season 8 with a special "JUICY" COLLAB with my friend and coworking OG Liz Elam.

Everyone is coworking knows that Liz is the Executive Producer and Founder of?GCUC, the largest coworking and flexible workspace conference network in the world. So many of us around the world in coworking have participated in her insightful, inspiring and fun events.

Liz and I had the idea to record ourselves having a chat about what's we're seeing in the industry and publish it on our respective platforms on the same day.

So here we are...

In this episode we discuss what the future holds for Space-as-a-Service and how the pandemic has accelerated the success of GCUC,

We talk about the 5 Pillars of Space-as-a-Service and the importance of focusing on the needs of customers when creating a coworking space, including a recurring theme this season: community. Liz asks how I define Space-as-a-Service and we agree to disagree on some of the nomenclature. We go on to chat about two of my favorite topics: the significance of brand on customer’s buying habits and how the valuation methodology in real estate needs to change so it can accommodate the demand for growth.

You don't wanna miss this episode.

Other topics covered:

The great real estate awakening, ethos of coworking, data and measuring success of our customers.

P.S. Register here for GCUC UK, happening next week!

Thanks Caleb Parker - always fun to banter with you. One of my all time favorites was you and I being loud Americans at the first GCUC and slightly scaring our UK friends. The handstand was the best. If you would like to join us this year just use gcuc10 for a discount!
