Meet the UVM Development Team
Meet Brett Huet.
Brett Huet is one of the newest members of the UVM development team.? He started his career in Natural Resources as a wildland firefighter. After falling in love with working outdoors in the forests of Colorado, Brett began doing forestry and tree work.? This work evolved into a passion for learning about tree biology, timber stand improvement and fire mitigation.? This is when Brett discovered utility forestry and enjoyed the complexity of the UVM industry.? Brett previously worked with the DRG team on our SDG&E contract, transition to a municipal arborist.? In 2015, Brett moved to Bend, Oregon where he worked as a safety trainer with California wildfires and other UVM related projects in Northern California.? In 2022, Brett joined DRG’s UVM development team focusing on clients in the Pacific Northwest.
Brett still lives in Bend, Oregon with his wife and twin teenage sons.? As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors backcountry snowboarding, surfing and skating and plan frequent family camping trips.? Brett also enjoys running, elk hunting and mountain biking.
After being in the industry for nearly 25 years, Brett has acquired a long list of accomplishments and certifications including:? ISA Board Certified Master Arborist, ISA TRAQ Qualified, ISA Utility Specialist, ISA Municipal Specialist, CTSP, QCL, SPRAT Level 1, NCCER Certified Crane Operator, OSHA Outreach Instructor, NATS Train the Trainer, and NATS Technical Tree Cutting and Felling.
